Biography
Mezzo-Soprano Emma Alvarez began her Piano training at age 7 and her vocal training at age 12. At age 16 she was offered a place at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to study with then head of the Vocal Department Hermann LeRoux where she went on to get both her Bachelors and her Master's Degrees in Vocal Performance. She has performed numerous roles both in the US and abroad. Emma specializes in a breadth of repertoire from Contemporary Broadway to Opera, from Boleros to Country as well as singing in Chamber Ensembles.

Ms. Alvarez has almost a decade of experience teaching voice and piano to a range of ages. She specializes in beginning and intermediate piano as well as all levels of voice. Her students range from Conservatory Prep to aspiring pop artists, from choral members looking to improve their pitch to those who prefer to only sing in the shower. Many of her students have been accepted into music programs at Universities and Colleges while others have been signed to labels.

She is an active singer in the area as well as a teacher for the Seattle Conservatory of Music and on their private instructor list.
